1. Start Early: It may sound cliche but getting your day started early does wonders to your productivity and this method has been endorsed by the World’s Richest, with 98% of Billionaires interviewed stating that they begin their Day well before the Sun is up. Getting up early doesn't just give you a head-start but it allows you to avoid major inconveniences such as traffic
2. Declutter: The greatest hindrance to productivity are distractions and what’s more distracting than a mess? A cluttered work Space also makes it harder to find things which not only wastes your time but also affects your mood in turn affecting your motivation. Taking a few minutes every day to make sure everything is organised will save you a significant amount of time and a lot of tested patience.
3. List it!: Do you ever just have anxiety clouding your work day even though you know you've handled all your tasks? And then you remember the one important thing that slipped your mind? I’ve been there! Studies on the forgetting curve have shown that within one hour, people will forget an average of 50 percent of information presented to them, 70% in 24 hours and a whooping 90 percent within a week!
This means that we forget a lot of tasks and items to be carried out especially after briefs or meetings unless we note them down. In addition to making sure that you don't forget any important tasks a to do list once completed is a good measure of your performance but it also acts as a great confidence booster for achieving a good chunk of your goals
4. Time it: A significant amount of time is wasted due to overlapping tasks and poorly scheduled activities. Make it a habit to have time limits for every task to ensure that no one activity gets too much attention while other important tasks are neglected. And yes this includes meetings! Create (and adhere to) a schedule and see how it does
5. Stay Hydrated: There is no way to focus on work if you are hungry or thirsty. some people start by a heavy breakfast with reduced portions throughout the day while others like to snack as the day progresses. We say do what works for you but make sure to fuel your body throughout the work day.
6. Rest: This may sound counterproductive but Rest ensures effective work. A tired mind and body will not only produce a less amount of work but also highly affects the quality of work produced. A few short breaks throughout the day to stretch, rest your mind or even scroll through some of your favourite social sites will break the monotony of the day and rejuvenate your body and mind.
7. Switch it up: Last but not least, switch up your working area. There are many ways to do this including switching rooms, changing the background to some cool relaxing music, standing up (standing desks are quite the popular option in recent times) or going outside for some Sun as you Work. Co-Working spaces tend to provide a range of different working areas to help shift your physical space and perspective. Workshop Serviced Offices provide secure modern Private Offices as well as colourful and comfortable Co-working spaces and break away rooms.
